This is my card created with the exclusive stamp designed by Becky Oehlers. It’s available as a clear stamp, digi and even SVG cut file. 100% of the profits from the sale of these items got to Katie’s fund to help her and her young family. In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True = D Doodle Designs both donated digis that are for sale. Direct donations are also being accepted. Information central is HERE. This is a permanent page that will stay active at i {heart} papers with current info.I felt like this was important information to share and pass along even to the few people I might touch. This could have been me it could have been any one of the amazing women that I hold personally dear. I do not know Katie personally but she will be in my prayers.
Thanks for stopping by and if you felt led to maybe purchase a stamp for yourself and pass it on.
hugs!

Hi all! Well I had a spectacular weekend with my parents in town! Pumpkin picking and a Zoo trip with new Imax, lots of laughs and visits. BUT our internet went down for the entire weekend so I missed posting the last three challenges for Outlawz that I had completed on Friday. :-( But here they are any way! The first is for the Greeting challenge very sweet and simple love it !

This second is for the Twist challenge of yellow red and green

The third is my favorite. CAS or clean and simple and use an old product. I have to be honest I do not have much old product have purged a couple times over the past year BUT I did find some older papers. I had a sheet of this wood grain that I love the texture on so I made a little door that swings open and...

Fun inside. These little guys are from an older sheet of paper as well, at least 3 seasons past. Thanks Outlawz for all the great challenges and the party!

Hugs all!

Step One - you need your fabric and a Gluber yes it is the funest word in my vocabulary right now and I have a hard time not continuing to repeat it as I use it and pound them on my page. (not necessary but fun!)

Step Two - I tore two strips that are about 1 inch wide and 12 inches long. I also cut two leaves out of died fabric.

Step Three - I twisted my long strip and started spiraling it onto my Gluber like a cinnamon roll from the inside out.

Step Four - I had to use both strips to completely cover the Gluber to the edges, mine is a 2 inch Gluber.

Step Five - I attached my torn mulberry paper to my card base, used glue dots to attach the leaves, added the sticker letters to the bottom left and then to finish pounded on my Gluber happily sing-songing the word several times over. (Just ask my friends, yes I really do that!)

Now I am realizing a whole month has gone by and although I have taken about 300 photographs every single one of them has been staring down at a table with art work on it. My "One Month At a Time" layout will be looking pretty unusual for the month of September. And yet we have been busy! Lots of fun little things, Sara ran in a mile run for school both in PE but also in a little cross country fun day (she did great by the way a mile in about 11.5 minutes not to bad for my girly girl!) we went to Living History Farms for a gorgeous day outside. Swimming, diving, girl scouts started up, new boots for the girls and today feathers in their hair. Oh yeah we are the trendy ones at our house. Except we bought the kit and did them ourselves instead of paying the salon. Very fun. All in all good times.
Here are a couple more layouts from last weekend. The first is another from last Thanksgiving what a great trip! We are looking forward to Arizona again this year!

Here is a layout from our Chicago trip last year I just realized what a horrible job i did shooting the layout but you get the feel. Girls way up high on the sky deck! I actually posted the original shots around this time last year.

Hugs to all!

This first one is from last November's trip to Arizona! I managed to get those pages complete so I am ready to go again this November :-) I LOVE the photo of John and his Dad, they are such an amazing duo!
This next one is of my scrapping buddies at two separate crops. It has been so nice to find some ladies to go to events with regularly. We laugh an awful lot as we play with our tools.
Life is humming along nicely at our house Girl Scouts was the latest and last activity to hit the home front last night. Both girls are involved this year in their own troops and both LOVE it. Girl scouts is still the best.

On the home front we have been reveling in the beginnings of fall weather here with clear sunny days and temps. in the 70's and even 50's at night. Allergies of course are raging but with that kind of weather I am willing to suffer the other! We even went to Applefest today at the Living History Farms. Simple small and the perfect excuse to spend the day together outside.Girls are good this next week we will add swimming to the after school activities so should be a little more like our normal crazy school days. Lori is all signed up to be a Daisy this year (the youngest level of Girl Scouts) so I think we are set. Swimming, Diving, Gymnastics and Girl Scouts yep I think that sounds like plenty.
Life is sweet!

Below there is a sneaky peek at one of the images from the class. There were several requests for an image with water reflections so here is a peek at that image. We are going to tackle some pretty advanced stuff in this class. I am really excited about all the images! I think everyone is going to learn a ton!
As far as family we are all well. The girls are well into there 3rd and first grade years. We were having a few issues at first grade recess but those seem to be resolved so we are leaving the building with smiling faces, YEAH! We just had a great family weekend. Nothing major but several meals out, we all watched Seabiscut on the couch Saturday night and then yesterday we had a perfect day. We started with treats at Panera hit the bike trail and road 11.2 miles, yes all of us, then off to the mall to pick food of your choice with Coldsrone for desert! Does it get any better? How about 70 degrees and clear skies hmmmmm....yep that just about seals the deal, perfection!

Yes that is John on a slip and slide and the girls screamed him on to do a few more. That is Lori currently cheering Daddy on. We really did have a fun day.
I have not posted in a while and there is never really a great excuse but I will give you mine anyway! I was visiting all of the Weaver 5 clan in Oregon for a week where we had PERFECT weather and an amazing week all together! Could not have been any nicer really!
Then while I was on vacation I found out Debbie Hodge is ready for the next installment of my Copic Coloring classes and the sooner the better. :-) I am more than happy to oblige and will be teaching Copic Crazy live (on-line) in September and Copic Coloring #2 in October. I have the stamp artist lined up and am working on the art work this week. I will give some sneaky peaks this next week.
So there you go that is my life in a very tiny nutshell. School starts in two days and the girls are excited and ready. I will be using every spare minute getting my class together and John is busy as usual.

Happy mi-week all! I wanted to share another card I finished up yesterday. This one was created using a stamp by Taylored Expressions and fulfills their Sketch #142 challenge. This particular sketch was designed by my friend Lori Craig so I figured I better get to it! The paper is all Basic Grey's Sweet Threads line and the Cuppie's are stamped on Craft paper then colored with Copic markers. The trim is one I found at JoAnn's and I stamped the saying from the same stamp set as the Cuppie's "Sweet Celebration"Thanks ladies for the fun stamps and great sketch.
This week is busy but a huge success. Both girls are doing Art In The Park and then Sara is doing a little drama camp. Both still have swimming and Sara has diving. You can imagine the art and drama are both HUGELY successful.

On to the cards here is one with an adorable Michelle Perkett digital image that she gave out free at her site! The card completes this weeks challenge "cute as a button" right up my ally since I am still slightly addicted to buttons :-)
This second card is from Christy Croll's collection with Stamping Bella they just started carrying them at Archiver's so I could not resist! How cute and way to go Stamping Bella for getting on at Archiver's! Not sure if this card will fit in at Christy's on-line digital site Tiddly Inks but I sure will see if I can make it fit! He He
We have one last week of swimming two more weeks of diving and then our Oregon trip, one last week of summer than school! Yikes how did that happen!!!!!Hugs all!

Hi one and all I have NOT fallen off the face of the Earth but I have not created anything new to share as of late and I just hate that! We had John home all last week, LOVE IT, and Patty and Charlie joined us, LOVE it and we spent a big portion of the week in Minneapolis for the girls big Birthday EXTRAVAGANZA! We had an awesome week from the Friday before all the way through the following weekend! i am determined however to get crafty this week! My class has gone well we are down to the last lesson on Thursday it has been a very big success and i hope to do another one just like it in the near future. The girl's swim team has one more week after this one left and that will take a huge commitment off our plate for the remaining few weeks of summer.
I also wanted to share for my crafting friends a big release coming up this Thursday night you can get all the info HERE. Make It Crafty and Tiddly Inks have teamed up to share a joint set of digital stamps all being released in one big party. So if you are looking for a little fun this might be of interest :-)

Good day all! I really do not have anything brand new to share scrappy wise but I thought I would share two layouts I did just a couple weeks back. Class started this week on-line so I am busy answering questions and setting up lessons to post. the hard work is done but this part still keeps me pretty occupied. The two layouts are from our Vegas trip last fall where I got to meet some of the most amazing women that I have known on-line for about 3 years. We had an amazing time, did a little teaching a little learning and a whole ton of laughing. The Copic images that are on the layouts are both from A Day For Daisies. The top layout has a photo of me taken by Amy and my friend Tami showing us her best :-). Below is Celia and then the group at dinner.
The girls and I have been good this week. Y-fun club in the mornings for the girls. Very fun and so easy since it is at the Y. Tuesday the girls swam in their very first swim meet. For their first they did extremely well! Not sure if we won anything yet but they had fun and swam hard. We were super duper proud of them! Other than that swim and dive practices are filling our days so we are moving right along!Hugs all!

I love how this card turned out. Love the image from A Day For Daisies. I am not sure who will be receiving it but I really like the black and white with one color added, which was the challenge over at A Day For Daisies. We are running between day camps and swimming/diving so keeping out of trouble.

INKY FINGERS!! Yes this is a photo of my thumb which I am displaying proudly as my proof of completing the latest Copic class! Dare I say prize? I have to tell you that this class was amazing!! I loved every minute and I am so glad that Copic let Colleen and Bianca give it a go. I think they are on to something that has HUGE potential and possibilities. I am busy catching up and prepping for my Copic class starting next week but my head is spinning with ideas and insperation and a need to get messy!
This is a small accordion book I completed with Bianca. We colored 5v pieces of silk in different ways using Copic the top is a faux batik which I will be using OVER AND OVER! Love it and I want he whole book she has a breathtaking mini book coated in fabric and ribbon and just plain yum!
This pile - O - Tags is from the first portion of the day and we explored 10 different ways to start adding Copic to our mixed media and crafting projects. i will be sharing a few in more detail over at Get It Scrapped so stay tuned you will want to see these close up!
Lastly is our canvas, Colleen led us on this project and I loved the mix of think about this, try this and just go to it! The photo does not show off my "story" very well but the idea we were trying to fly with was taking a singular photo and going with it showing it through all the layers and all the textures and colors. By the way my story if you are curious is growing roots :-) John's first question was where is the Copic? Good question so glad you asked! The bottom layer has my "story written or at least brainstormed in Copic marker, next layer up is a collage of 1 photo, magazines and tissue (which was crumpled with copic ink dropped on it) pieces of this layer were airbrushed with Copic. The sky and land are modeling paste died with Copic Ink and the photo has been drawn on with Copic, painted over with acrylic died with Copic and airbrushed with Copic. So is Copic in there, oh yeah baby!On the family note the girls and John had an equally amazing day at the Children's Museum. They dressed up as dinosaurs, created fashion for Barbie, and climbed a rock wall. We had a delicious meal at Rock Bottom (we were surrounded by good food and shopping) We could definitely do a trip back to Indianapolis!
More to come later this week :-)
Hugs all!

Now I really HAVE to go :-)
6/3/2011
I am trying to get a few posted before I take off on an adventure! I am going to take a Copic class all about using your Copics and Copic ink in mixed media art. So excited! I am sure I will have a lot to share after tomorrow! In the mean time here are two challenges for two of my favorite digi stamp sites!
First here is my unfinished layout for Tiddly Inks. The title is going to be Dancing Divas (the theme was Divas over at Tiddly Inks) and the photos should arrive in my mailbox tomorrow :-)
Here is a close up of my "Sugar Plum Fairy" colored of course with Copics. She has stickles added to her wings, a Sdtardust pen on her tutu and sand colored atyou Spica pen on her crown.
Here is the next layout created for a bingo game over at Michelle Perkett Studio. This is where I yell BLACKOUT! Yep got all 9 things on my layout; lace, ribbon, glitter, pearls, 2 backing papers, brads, die cut (the circle ring the title sits on), scallops, and the mermaid is wearing flowers in her hair! Woo Hoo
Here is a close up of the image. Hard to see but the glitter is in her hair, very subtle.

I best be off hugs all!
